The collection consists of an electrostatic copy of a photograph album of family members and friends assembled by Lucy Landon Carter Minor White together with biographical information on the subjects compiled by Lloyd T. Smith of Charlottesville, Va. Among the people portrayed are Benjamin Lewis Blackford, Charles Minor Blackford, Eugene Blackford, Mary Berkeley Minor Blackford, William Willis Blackford, John Staige Davis, Mary Custis Lee, Dabney Herndon Maury, Matthew Fontaine Maury, General John Minor, Dr. Lewis Willis Minor, Lucy Landon Carter Minor, John Barbee Minor, William Henry White. Eighteen of the subjects are girls who attended the Ursuline Convent school in New Orleans with Lucy during the Civil War. The General John Minor photograph is of a St. Memin crayon portrait.
